Ukraine is Here to Stay

The people of Kyiv who’ve bravely reclaimed their land from Russia’s 14th air attack this month, are celebrating Kyiv Day.

It is the anniversary of their city’s foundation more than 1500 years ago. Their President Volodymyr Zelensky has paid tribute to the country’s air defence forces, calling them “heroes.”

Meanwhile back in Australia the diasporic and refugee families who escaped the war, are doing all they can to help with humanitarian aid.

Many are mothers and daughters who’ve left brothers and husbands back in Ukraine – still defending their country against Russia.

The fundraising appeal U-help led by the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO), is drumming up support for women and men in the frontline.
