Feral cat epidemic
The Federal Government’s National Environmental Science Program has conducted a study which has found that feral cats cover 99.8% of Australia’s land area.
A worrying aspect of the research was the discovery that cat densities were found to be identical both inside and outside conservation reserves, like national parks.
Dr Sarah Legge from the Australian Government’s National Environmental Science Programme spoke to Adrian Walton about the consequences of the study’s findings.
