Growing up is hard task for anyone to tackle, but how would you feel about baring your soul and your story on the stage for everyone to see? Well this Friday, Bangarra Dance Theatre was premiering their newest work “ONES COUNTRY- the Spine of Our Stories” and “Place” which was one of the three pieces that make up the show, deals with just that. Drawing on his mixed Croatian, Afghan and Indigenous heritage, and his experience of growing up gay and black, Kaine Sultan-Babij is the choreographer of “Place” and he’s here to talk to us now about the product of his labour.
