‘Hanging on the Telephone’ and the Rise of Power Pop – Under the Covers

If you bought Blondie’s Parallel Lines in 1978, the first song you heard to blast off the iconic album would’ve been a cover from an obscure band released in 1976.
This week, Max and Thomas jumped back into the new wave scene to talk about The Nerves, a power pop three piece from Los Angeles that released a single self-titled EP before breaking up in 1978.
You can catch Under the Covers on Friday Drive at 4:30pm.
