HIDDEN in Rookwood is a gallery in a place you might not expect. Placed in Rookwood Cemetery, Australia’s oldest, largest and most multi-cultural cemetery, HIDDEN is an annual sculpture walk that encourages you to look at the multi-cultural history of the cemetery, both in its inherent historic surrounds and with the unique artworks that artists contribute.

Tess spoke to Crystal Lindsay from the gallery’s communications team to learn about the origins and key themes of the event. The event is on from the 1st of September to the 1st of October, and you can find details about the event on their website. This weekend is the gallery’s last for the year so tours with the curator are a prime opportunity to get involved.
