Indigenous children more likely to be injured
An eye-opening report from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare says that Indigenous children are one and a half times more likely to end up in hospital for falls, assaults and self-harm.
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare says that Indigenous children are in an even higher risk category in remote areas, where half of children presenting for hospitalisation due to injuries were Indigenous.
