Mechanomorphism – How Do Machines See Us?
We all apply human qualities to technologies as we interact with them, like when your car struggles to make it up a hill, or your phone does something to make your life more difficult. What’s less known is that our technologies do a similar thing back to us – they see us as machines or simple objects.
Machine Aesthetics of the Human Body is an exhibition with the aim of exploring this idea, and is presented by the Tactical Space Lab at the Verge Gallery in Darlington.
Dr Josh Harle, who is the director of the Tactical Space Lab, joined us in the studio to unpack this all a little more.
The exhibition is open from Thursday the 16th of August at the Verge Gallery in Darlington as part of Human Jerky.
