National Alcohol Consumption Guidelines Revised
These days, no day is complete without alcohol. Be it a glass of wine for dinner or just a after-work drink with a colleague. Alcohol has become an indispensable part of our lives but how much of it is good for health? Until recently, two drinks a day was considered healthy but this has been revised to 1.4 drinks a day according to the National alcohol guidelines. We had Professor Kate Conigrave, Chair of the National Health and Medical Research Council’s alcohol working committee and an addiction Medicine Specialist based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital to talk to us about this new revision.
