Noise, an invisible killer

Look, obviously here at 2SER we live for everything audio based. With the popularity of radio, podcasts and major listening apps, hearing health is increasingly becoming a topic of concern for us. Known as the invisible killer, noise is always taking a toll on our hearing in our daily lives. Of course, there is another kind of sound – white noise – which, unlike noise, can help relieve stress. So how much do you know about it? How does noise damage our ears and what can we do about it? Producer Isa spoke to Dr. Shelby Platia, an audiologist from the Center for Hearing and Communication in New York, to give us some information on how we can better cope with it. Take a listen.
