From our hands, we put recyclable plastics into our recycling bin and let the garbage truck take it away. Turns out, about half Australia’s plastic waste is exported to other countries. But what happens to our plastic recycling when it does goes offshore? Research Principal at the Institute for Sustainable Futures, Monique Retamal, joined our host Tess over the phone this morning on the breakfast show and answered that question.
