Sunfruits coming in hot with debut album ‘one degree’
What comes to mind when you think of the 70s?
Melbourne band Sunfruits embodies everything from the 70s with the added psychedelia, indie pop, glam rock, and folk. Since they released their debut EP ‘Certified Organic” back in 2020 an album has highly been anticipated. Being out for only a few weeks Sunfruits have treated us with eleven delightful new songs coming together to form their debut album ‘One Degree’. The album brings to the forefront their incredible ability to write catchy songs that tackle the rawness of being human. Not to mention they are as genuine as they come using music as a platform to spread awareness on big topics such as environmental collapse, resilience,self-reflection, love, and relationships.
One Degree is a coming of age for Sunfruits, a maturity in their sound that has been hitting the ears of people catching their debut album tour across the east coast of Australia. If you are in Sydney Sunfruits will be rocking the Lansdowne this Saturday the 13th of May alongside great acts Classic and Suiix.
