Sustainably Providing Food for our Growing Population

Our growing population means the global food supply must grow with it. However, that usually means cutting down forests of trees and using synthetic fertilisers which hurt the environment and contribute to climate change.

So how are we meant to cater for our growing population in a sustainable way?

Paul Winters, Professor of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, joined us this morning to propose a few strategies to help farmers in this tricky situation.
