They Can Go To Space But They Can’t Drive

You might reasonably think an astronaut is superior to you in many ways – faster, stronger and smarter too. But it turns out that many of us trump them when it comes to a basic skill – driving. A study that tested the impact of zero gravity on astronauts’ ability to operate machinery found that astronauts consistently performed poorly on driving simulations after returning from a space mission.

The study was led by Professor Steven Moore from Central Queensland University and he spoke to The Daily this morning.
