UNESCO Memory of the World: Preserving our past for our digital future
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) administers The Memory of the World Program, where the Australian chapter maintains a register of lost and missing Australian documentary heritage. Every two years, this program accepts nominations from Australia to the Memory of the World International Register in order to recognise its world significance and outstanding universal value.
