Farewell Blockbuster Video
The end of an era is coming at the end of the month with the last remaining Blockbuster video store in Australia set to close its doors for good.
At its peak Blockbuster boasted 9,000 stores worldwide and was a multi billion dollar company but with the introduction of streaming services such as Netflix & Stan, the need for video stores has decreased dramatically over the last several years.
With the pending closure of the Morley Western Australia, store means that their will only be 1 remaining Blockbuster store in the entire world, located in Oregon USA.
Tess spoke to owner Lyn Borszeky about the upcoming closure and what it was like running a video store.
