The Challenges Of Film Preservation And Why It’s Still Important
The Australian Film Television and Radio School, also known as AFTRS, is hosting the Cinema Reborn film festival from the 3rd to the 7th of May. The festival aims to shine a light on cinematic preservation, presenting twelve films in digital forms or rarer 35mm film archived prints that have been restored to be played in the modern age.
To tell us more about film preservation and restoration we were joined by Melba Proestos, the Head of Digital Content and Communications at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
