Despite having a population of over 2.5 million people the Greater Western Sydney area remains underrepresented when it comes to participation in the arts, with limited facilities for stage productions and a lack of pathways for young writers to communicate their unique perspectives of an ethnically diverse environment brimming with excitement and conflicts. Mick talked to WestWords executive director Michael Campbell about his organisation’s focus to mentor and develop the next generation of Western Sydney readers and writers.
